Conhecida pela cidade da Lã e da Neve a Covilhã é a porta de entrada da Serra da Estrela. Also known as the city of Wool and Snow, Covilhã is the main gateway to Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain in continental Portugal. A city that has much more than snow, and where you can visit, for example, the Church of St. Mary and its fabulous tiles, or the urban art in the Historic Center. You can also dive into the immense river beaches of the municipality, or also visit the "Lanifícios" Museum and the Cheese Museum. You can always opt for a stroll through the green spaces such as "Jardim do Lago" or the city's Municipal Garden. In gastronomy, do not miss the "Pastel de Molho" or the "Panela no Forno", among other local delicacies.
